On January 1, 2008 Kathy and her nephew Earl pulled up a huge stone crab out of the above trap.

Manatees are not an every day occurrence, but nor are they rare. For this manatee, we looked from the docks and saw a large manatee seemingly asleep in the harbor. It was one of the biggest manatees any of us had ever seen. What a special treat!
